Horse camping for Cuchara Canyon
This trail starts out pretty easy until you reach the rocky descent into the canyon. We got off our horses at what I’d call a very challenging spot to navigate. Once past that, the remainder of the ride is very nice and relatively easy. At times, there isn’t a clearly defined trail to follow—even when using COTREX. It’s a beautiful canyon to explore.
